I actually have been to Pebble Beach car week before, the first time a long time ago when I was still a civilian, and then again when I worked with Jalopnik, so I’ve witnessed the splendor firsthand, and have at least some vague idea what to expect. David, though, hasn’t ever been to an event like this, being more used to impromptu car shows in Walmart parking lots, eating slices of the cheapest available pizza that’s been dropped onto the asphalt at least once....

Acura announced on Monday that the Type S — the revived name it’s using for performance-focused cars — will have a two-liter turbocharged VTEC engine producing “over 300 horsepower” and putting power down exclusively through a six-speed manual gearbox with a limited-slip differential. On the regular Integra, a manual is only available on the top A-Spec model with the Technology Pack, albeit as a no-charge option....

Unsurprisingly, SARIT is an acronym, one that stands for Safe, Affordable, Reliable, Innovative Transportation. Nissan Will Now Sell You A Ten-Year-Old Certified Pre-Owned Car Despite supply and wholesale values of used cars easing, prices are still incredibly high. It makes sense, then, that Nissan would follow in Honda’s footsteps by expanding its certified pre-owned program to include models up to ten years old with up to 100,000 miles....

The detail are those little hood/trunk latches that have little flip-up covers and use a hex key to lock or unlock. British car designer William Towns was born in 1936. As Channel 4 News writes, his car design career began with the Rootes Group, where he worked on seat styling and door handles. The channel notes that Towns was also involved in the design for the Hillman Hunter. In 1963, Towns joined Rover, where he worked for David Bache, a designer who would later be involved in the Range Rover. With Rover, Towns designed the body of the Rover-BRM gas turbine-powered Le Mans racer....
